Sous Vide: or "cooking with vacuum" has been used by professional chefs for a long time, it is currently enjoying a re-emergence as a gourmet cooking method. It involves cooking food in a relatively low temperature water bath after it has been vacuum sealed in a bag. Food cooked in the bag will be more tender and succulent than traditionally cooked produce. You can cook whole roasts, joints, fish, rice, vegetables and sauce based meals in the bag.

Marinade Meat: Flavouring meats with your favourite marinade is done in a fraction of the time in a vacuum container. The vacuum process opens the pores and fibres in the meat which allows marinades and seasonings to be drawn in faster.
